ePIC: "Rightly Dividing"
One of the Greatest Examples of "Rightly Dividing The Word of Truth"is when satan was tempting Jesus in the wilderness (Matt 4; Luke 4)! Three times the devil tried to distort The Holy Word of God and in one of those he actually made reference to the Text (a piece of the puzzle)! Notice that Jesus didn't combat him in His Deity, nor with His denominational beliefs, but by His exaltation of the Whole Holy Word of God, in other words: Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth!
With Exceeding Great and Precious Promises to the Covenant Believer of Victory over the World, the Flesh, and the devil, today's 21st Century Christian would do well to take heed to the Whole Counsel of God and subject their influences and teachings like Jesus did by trying it with Holy Writ! Every Verse is like a piece of a puzzle of 31,173 pieces displaying a Beautiful picture of the Grace, Mercy, Wisdom of God, His plan of Salvation and Will for Man, etc!!! I don't know about you, but when I put together a puzzle I tend to
group all the similar pieces together, maybe by graphics, by colors and
whether or not they are border pieces. You start to see similarities and it's starting to form a picture.. The
sad reality in many denominational structures, in their doctrines, is
that they may have some pieces of that puzzle together and maybe even correctly, (a
little here and little over there, you may be able to make out some of
the Cross and see His foot, or see a corner of the Ark of the Covenant,)
all which is great, But to look at those particular pieces of an incomplete
puzzle will not necessarily give you a complete understanding of the
overall picture and true sound doctrine! IF there are other Scriptures about "Grace, Salvation, The Promise of The Father to EVERY generation, etc" and they're not fitting into your denominational teachings or being left out, then your not "Rightly Dividing The Word of Truth" In the end of a completed picture puzzle, you don't end up with spare pieces, a dead God , or a powerless Gospel! But you do end up with "True Grace," peace like a river and a God who will never leave you or forsake you! -Doulos D
